Thank God for geeks and pedants
From the Provost’s Newsletter, which has a bit of a cult following round these parts:
“I am grateful to those who noted an error in the very first sentence of the last Newsletter. They pointed out that a Newsletter cannot come out of summer hibernation. That is a winter-only phenomenon, so my usage was oxymoronic. The summer equivalent is aestivation.”
